This is a great tour for team-building too!
We believe the best welcome is having a fresh beer ready for you when you arrive. After a brief introduction of the group, Liselot will start hunting down your beer interests so she knows how best to entertain you from the very beginning. We are now ready to start this interactive beer, sun and water experience. A taste of a Belgian Triple, Lambic and Trappist will be offered to serve you with the best satisfaction.
The beautiful view inspires lots of stories thanks to historic buildings such as the Graslei tax building or one of Ghent’s 300 medieval breweries. Let’s stop sailing for a second where to introduce you to the legendary Belfry’s dragon. Maybe we even have a beer with us that is related to that?! Over the course of the tour we’ll have the chance to discover more local legends since lots of buildings have their own beer-related stories.
When we see the first empty glasses on our table, a different style of the Belgian portfolio will be served. We promised a large selection of different tastes, and one is even paired with a local delicacy. Want to know more about that exclusive new beer that’s already become an international wonder, or rather about that re-discovered recipe from the Middle Ages? This is the right time to ask!
Oh boy, does time fly while having a good time! One hour after setting sail it’s time to head off to our hidden gem and start our beer game, so choose your team and prove yourself that you are a true zythologist. Of course, we’ll be sipping an exclusive local beer in the meantime ! After learning lots about the Belgian beer culture over the 5 chapters of our challenging beer game, it’s time to wrap up. Of course, we won’t say goodbye before we know which team got the award of the true zythologist. The winning team deserves an extra beer treat. Any other question that’s not answered? Share your doubts with us so the host will only leave you once you’re fully satisfied.
Please note: you are allowed to take extra snacks on the City boat
Liselot did a very very good job.
You can tell that you studied a lot about beers and you can feel the passion for what she does.Always a smile,... read more always fun and a lot of things still to discover about her "beerworld".
We had such an amazing experience with Liselot! She has such an excellent knowledge about beer, and she explains things with a lot of passion and enthusiasm.
The tour was... read more overall very fun and interactive, we have learned not only about the brewing process, but also little anecdotes about beer and stories about the old Brussels.
Beer tasting was amazing and cherry on the cake, we have even mixed the beer with the typical belgian pralines which made the tasting even more interesting.
I would highly recommend this tour to any beer lover, or simply to everyone that is just curious about it. I personally did this tour with a friend of mine, he is really passionate about beer and knew way more than me and I was just really curious. We have both enjoyed it a lot and now he can´t stop talking about what he has learned with his german friends.
What a great beer tour we had with Liselot! She was very knowledgeable, fun and took us to places we would have never found on our own. The chocolate pairings... read more were perfect and made the tour that much more enjoyable. This tour was one of the best things we did in Belgium and highly recommend to anyone - you won't be disappointed.
I subscribed as one of the first people for this brewery tour. I always wanted to visit some breweries when being in Belgium. For some reason, I couldn't easily find... read more another tour that could offer a visit to different breweries in one afternoon.
First, we were introduced to the brewing process in an authentic bar where Liselot took time to explain us the whole process. I would have not appreciated a sour beer without her explication because the taste is like vinegar, haha. Apparently Lambic beer (so that sour beer) is a big thing in Belgium, and via her stories and background we all get engaged in that Lambic culture! Only thanks to her, I understand now why Lambic beer is actually not a lager, nor an ale. How interesting! After she took us to a brewery that is not accessible for individual visitors, and that made this visit even more precious!
Can't believe how much effort she is doing to give her clients the best experience!
A big thumbs up, and i'm sure you too will love the experience!
Congrats to Liselot !
